The Slam Sessions Strikes at Set!
Following on from the great successes that are the Gold Soundz and Soul Kitchen club nights on Saturdays, Set Theatre is proud to unveil the latest weapon in its war against blandness and boredom.
The Slam Sessions is a brand-new affair, touting a more edgy, electronic driven sound, for your listening and dancing pleasure.
Every occasion will see different DJ's draughted in for the job, thus maintaing a sound and style that is always fresh. The brains behind the overall operation is the affable and charismatic, one and only, Mr. Cleveland Mike.
You may have already sampled some of Mike's musical musings in The Grapevine on Thursdays or upstairs in The Hibernian on the weekend. Well on Tuesday the 16th of March, Mike hits Set Theatre once again, and he'll be bringing some backup in the form of local electronic degenerates Kev and Smee!
Expect 80's / 90's dance, some old skool rap / hip hop, house, electro, punkyfunky block party breaks and bass slammin' wizardry. There will be complimentary mix CDs too, for those who earn them on the dancefloor.
Mike is always on the lookout for new talent so if you are a DJ, VJ, musician, dancer, designer or if you feel you have anything at all to offer please drop him a note on clevelandmike@live.co.uk, he'll be glad to hear from you.
Admission is always FREE so please drop in on Tuesday 16th March and bust a few moves on the floor and perhaps earn yourself a CD!
