Irish 4-piece Delorentos came storming out of the traps with a new album, You Can Make Sound, released in Ireland on their own DeloRecords label through ADA Global on 9 October 2009. The album went straight into the Irish Charts at No 2.
Having already given fans of the band an early taster of the album at the beginning of the year (in the shape of a free download of the title track, “You Can Make Sound”) the lead radio single from the album was “Secret”.
Delorentos’ second album follows on the heels of their 2007 Top 10 debut In Love With Detail demonstrating a leap forward in the maturity of the band’s songwriting while retaining the power and accessibility of their pin-point melodies.
It seals the band’s commitment to continue with music after a two year period of trials, tribulations and uncertainty caused them to announce (and, subsequently, rescind) earlier in the year that the band would be breaking up. Suffice it to say that fans are all the richer for the band’s recommitment to the cause!
Delorentos new album You Can Make Sound released in Ireland on DeloRecords on 9 October 2009. A full European release of the album will follow at the beginning of 2010.
